The Wedding of my Dreams
We had a pretty tight budget that we wanted to stick to, so we were forced to be creative. We asked our friends and families for ideas, referrals, ect. We were able to find a wonderful college student that was interested in photography to take the pictures, a family friend with a fancy camera did the video, another family friend made the cake, and with a referral from a friend we were able to get a wonderful deal on the food. By using unconventional means, we were able to make this day truly about us.
Decorations on a budget were a daunting task but with a little creativity and a hot glue gun, anything is possible! My Starfish Tree Center Piece was really simple, cheap, and a nood to architecture. All you need are some inexpensive starfish, tea light candels, and a hot glue gun. Start by creating a steady base with the starfish, then glue on additonal starfish until you have reached your desired size. Make sure to keep it balaced. Once you have achieved your desired size, glue on the tea lights. Tada!!! Instant center piece! You can also use it as a place to hang your seating assignments (just omit the tea lights).
